Career Day 2024 is in the books and as always, our presenters defied all expectations. Imani students grade 7-12 gained valuable insights and exposure to successful professionals in our community.
The thought behind Career Day is to not only expose students to a variety of potential career pathways, but to give them insight into habits for success from professionals representative of who they are.

“Society is  always, in its own way, trying to form people into something that we’re not. And so it’s important to be able to stay true to who you are – but being professional and educated. As I told them, the baseline is excellence, but the goal is to be exceptional,” said Juel Smith, Executive Director of the Homewood-Brushton Center and CCAC’s Associate Dean of Sciences.

Students get a chance throughout the day to get different perspectives from a variety of the speakers as they move from classroom to classroom throughout the day.
