See. Her. Emerge.
As part of our Young Women’s Empowerment Initiative, our middle and high school young ladies participated in the “SHE Seminar” this past Friday at Imani.
“We came up with this actually over the summer, ” said CEO and Head of School Paulo Nzambi, “we were thinking about our young ladies, and we wanted to make sure principally that they felt seen, heard and valued. SHE is the second event in the Young Women’s Empowerment Initiative.
“We started with Dress for Success program, where they acquired professional attire in collaboration with Dress for Success Pittsburgh. And today is our very next session and that is the She Seminar. It stands for See Her Emerge.”

Breakout leader Latifah Miller added “I want to talk to the girls about the importance of having balance and structure in their lives, knowing that when you have that balance, it equips you to be your authentic self.”
