Dress Code

We believe that wearing uniforms give students a sense of belonging to Imani, which reflects our nurturing, family environment.  It reinforces that each student is part of our “family”.  We also believe that a uniform can improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork, and making the classroom a more serious environment, allowing students to perform better academically.  We also believe that it helps to alleviate peer pressure and bullying.

The goal of our uniform policy is to honor God through our appearance as we represent Imani.

Wellness Policy

Imani Christian Academy recognizes that student wellness and proper nutrition are related to students’ physical well-being, growth, development and readiness to learn. The Board is committed to providing a school environment that promotes student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education and promotion, and regular physical activity as part of the total learning experience. In a healthy school environment, students will learn about and participate in positive dietary and
lifestyle practices that can improve student achievement.
