She looked left. She looked right. I asked her, “Is there something wrong?” She replied, “Nope. Just making sure I’m in the right place. It looks great!” I thanked her with a smile. Regardless of the age, from Pre-K to High School, the sentiment was universal. The improvements to the building were a big hit. From the smoothness of the parking lot to the engraved pavers bearing the names of donors embedded in new concrete, parents took notice. Students beamed at the bright welcoming doors leading into the freshly painted lobby illuminated by new lights. Wearing first-day new shoes, students looked down to appreciate the upgraded flooring and leaned over to touch the new furnishings. The joy was palpable and the compliments plentiful.
As we enter into our new school year, our theme is the pursuit of excellence. Spiritually, academically, socially and physically, Imani continues to strive to be its very best. The physical changes to our building simply underscore and manifest our resolve. We do this all for our children….For they are our future.
Join me in supporting the next generation with the very best we have to offer.
